Images of Brookland: The History and Architecture of a Washington Suburb, GW Washington Studies No. 10 Open Access

This monograph grows out of the attempt by a graduate seminar to GWU to design and implement a community inventory which would reflect the broad, multidisciplinary criteria of the contemporary preservation movement. The study was carried out in the Brookland neighborhood in 1979 by those students whose names are listed in the Introduction. The course was taught by George W. McDaniel and John N. Pearce.
