The Design CommunityThe design industry is very exclusive; to achieve success could take many years. During this time the emerging designer doesn’t have many options other than to work under established designers. The objective of this thesis is to promote emerging industrial designers through the exploration of mobile retail spaces.This project proposes the design of a modular display that will populate a permanent location where young industrial designers can exhibit and sell their work. This will be a dynamic space where trendy people can go shopping, leisure place during the day, and a meeting point during the night.The same modular displays will populate different public points in city allowing the new designers to showcase and sell their work. The identity of the modules will relate back to the permanent location branding the designer’s community.I believe that if this space is placed within a famous urban spot and comes part of their urban style, good design could be within reach for the part of society that it targets.
