Conversation: Color; An Exhibition Proposal Connecting Generations Through Conversations Facilitated by Color

Conversation: Color is an exhibition proposal aimed to connect multiple generations through a conversation facilitated by color. This proposal illustrates how an exhibition can use color through a comparison of 1965 and 2015 to create a dialogue between generations with different values, backgrounds, and ideals. This exhibition will incorporate memorable and recognizable experiences for visitors through familiar sights and icons. Targeting the modern college student and their grandparents, the exhibition aims to enhance the dialogue between the two groups ultimately influencing the relationship and outlook. Aimed at a pre-existing population in Richmond, Virginia, the location becomes a backdrop for establishing a public art space in which to continue the conversation of color after the exhibition has run its course. A unique and accessible location provides a space for a distinct experience in order to witness the energy and impact of color.
