Open Access DepositedPhotography is an embodied and sensory encounter. It offers a slow, compassionate way of seeing and relating to the world. My work shifts the desire for mastery toward a process-based search for material presence and care. Working across experimental photographic processes, using expired 35mm film, instant prints, and cyanotype chemistry, I explore relational exchanges between human experience and the cyclical rhythms of the natural world. I am drawn to moments within making where control loosens and materials begin to speak in their own voice through color shifts, layered exposures, dents, or folds. Within this space, poetry appears in the unexpected.
