Media Representations of Police Violence: A Content Analysis of Newspaper Articles

This thesis is based on a content analysis of newspaper coverage of three incidents involving police killings of civilians in three American cities. Core themes are identified and comparisons are drawn in the newspaper coverage both between the cities and over time within each city.
