An Optimization Model to Improve Productivity and Efficiency in a Manufacturing Production Line

The production line is the backbone of the manufacturing companies and any decision related to it can be crucial to the management to increase or decrease the production capacity. Also, it can affect directly the productivity and efficiency of the production as well as the profitability of the company. To take a decision, company management has to consider it on solid base of analysis of all the affecting factors. As shown in the literature review, the linear programming can be positively effective in the results. Method taken to analyze the ability of increasing productivity and efficiency is applied model of linear programming on the figures we have from production lines. Results of the research are positive in general, two production lines out of five increased productivity, and the remaining three production lines decreased the resources to the minimum, At the end of the research, the linear programming gave positive solution as the objectives targeted achieved.
