Costume Designs for Urinetown: The Musical
Open AccessUrinetown: The Musical by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollman was produced by the Department of Theatre and Dance at George Washington University in the Fall of 2014. The show opened on October 30, 2014 at the Dorothy Betts Marvin Theatre, part of the George Washington University in Washington DC. It was directed by Muriel Von Villas along with costume designer Reema Albawardy, lighting designer Carl Gudenius, and set designer Kirk Kristlibas. This thesis explores the costume design process for Urinetown: The Musical and the challenges of working with a large cast and dealing with many quick changes.
