Drag: The Everyday Performance

Open Access

My exhibition will challenge how people self-identify themselves as a single gender; drag will be used to explain this idea. Drag! will be seen as something everyone partakes in. This exhibition will empower visitors to make their own identity. Visitors will understand how to recognize people beyond what is biologically correct and to distinguish themselves and others objectively. People will leave the exhibition with an idea of how Drag! has changed over the years from different parts of the world. Overall, this exhibition will uncover the various lessons taught in gender-bending performance art.
