Between the Seams: An Exploration of Craftsmanship in High-Fashion Garments

"Between The Seams" is an exhibition proposal that highlights the artistic endeavors in Haute Couture by placing an emphasis on the value of craftsmanship that lies behind each exceptional garment. Craftsmanship makes Haute Couture special as it is part of the cultural heritage and creates a foundation for any innovation efforts in the realm of fashion design. This paper will analyze the feasibility of this exhibition proposal and determine the best solution for the components surrounding an exhibition. The first point to be addressed will be the exhibition mission and an overview of the topic followed by an audience and site analysis and finished with a narrative for the content, design and precedents.
