Underground is a multimedia project that documents stories of sexual assault and harassment on public transportation systems of women, men, and non-binary individuals. Within Washington, D.C. transportation systems, specifically the metro sexual assault is an ongoing crisis within the system. The purpose of this project is to bring these stories to light even if they were not reported. Over the past two years, Underground has received over 100 submissions of sexual assault and harassment from all over the world. It has collected over 30 portraits and testimony from Washington, D.C. all the way to Maine. This series includes photographs, video, audio, and a website www.undergroundphotoseries.com where the viewer can read all of the individuals who have been affected by assault and harassment.
