Heartbreaking, Funny, Inventive, Original Cliché: The Tour, Artworks, and Craftsmen of OBJECTS: USA

In 1969, gallery-owner Lee Nordness, together with S.C. Johnson Wax, Inc., created OBJECTS: USA, an extraordinary exhibition featuring a variety of contemporary crafts by artisans in the United States. This exhibition toured the U.S. for three years, traveling throughout the country, changing American perceptions of craft and presenting the American public with a new style of art that represented a truly new and innovative American style.
