A History of Traditional Calligraphy in Post-Partition Lahore

A brief history of the creation of Lahori or Parvini Nastaliq in Lahore in 1928 by Abd al-Majeed Parvin Raqam, and its subsequent development in Pakistan by Taj al-Din Zarin Raqam and Mohmmad Siddiq Almas Raqam. It chronicles the state of traditional calligraphy in Lahore after partition through the lives and works of the following calligraphers:Hafiz Yusuf SadidiSyed Nafees Hussain Nafees RaqamSufi Khurshid Alam Khurshid RaqamThis study concludes by providing some reasons for the decline of Traditional Calligraphy in Pakistan.
