Muslim-Christian Relations: The Traditionalist Interfaith Language

The struggle to understand the relationship between Christianity and Islam, and to establish a stable dialogue between both groups, is an important issue in today's global agenda. Traditionalist thinkers insist that Christian-Muslim relations be explained in the light of religious truth, which is based on the meta-historical and metaphysical instead of more fragile sociological and political parameters. The goal of this thesis will be to explain the outlook of the Traditionalist school, its particular relevance to the issue of multiplicity of religions in the context of contemporary debates, and their likely impact on the future of the study of religions.
