Planning for the Influence of Emerging Disruptive Technologies on IT Systems

Technology is constantly advancing and as companies plan to modernize their IT workstations there is always the threat of emerging technology that could provide a competitive advantage. Planning for this disruptive influence and the steps for implementing a new technology are explored in this work. Test cases are shown to demonstrate how planning and implementation of new technology can support the corporation in increasing productivity by lowering the time required to do work by increasing performance of storage technology on IT workstations and laptops in the workplace.
