At your Service

The At Your Service, is a multimedia project that aims to explore the bond between human beings and service dogs. This project is comprised of ten service dogs and seven handlers photographed in studio. Each of the handler suffers from different mental health illnesses, and their service dogs help ease the pain. The purpose of this project is to show that service dogs are heroes that everyone should look up to.This project also documents the story between Claire Nakazawa and her service dog Percie. Nakazawa has suffered from panic disorder since a young age. After having Percie for two years, it completely changed Nakazawa’s life.Through a series of portraits of handlers and services dogs in combination with audio-interviews and report, the project comes together on the website  www.wenxuan-wu.com/portfolios/atyourservice, where audiences can explore each handler’s story to know the connection to their service dogs and how they help them to be more complete individuals.
