Single Cell RNA-seq Differential Expression Analysis

We improved voom in single cell RNA-seq differential expression analysis in order to make use of numerous advanced genomic analysis packages while obtaining comparative accuracy as edgeR. Using simulation study, we found that edgeR, ZINB-WaVE edgeR, voom and ZINB-WaVE voom rank differently in UMI and non-UMI datasets for single cell RNA-seq differential expression analysis. We explored the reasons that caused ZINB-WaVE voom underperformed ZINB-WaVE edgeR and improved the downstream analysis of ZINB-WaVE voom to improve the performance in single cell RNA-seq analysis.
