Children Culture Diversity
Open AccessABSTRACTWe live in a world with a multicultural generation, where children are exposed to different cultures within their daily lives. With advances in technology, it has become easier for them to access vast amounts of information: some good and some not. It is parents’ role to guide them to a better understanding of our diverse world. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the impact of cultural diversity on children, to broaden their perspectives into different world regions, and to teach them how to enjoy their diversity. How can we design a space that inspires children’s creativity and expands their knowledge in a short period of time with the most enjoyable approach? We shall take a few steps to see what sort of progressive possibilities open up when we bring children together and work with them to achieve common goals and utilize best practices to enhance the quality of our lives. The project will consist of interactive spaces designed to inspire creativity, increase productivity, and place cultural diversity and acceptance in the center of people’s daily life. The space will be divided into areas focusing on different activities, which will give children the opportunity to explore different ways to learn about various cultures and peoples. The project seeks to make our collective future something that people want to move forward to, to provide what our generation didn’t have, and to create spaces in which people from different cultures can interact in a positive way. The only way to achieve that is to start from childhood, by creating a space where children can learn from each other to enhance their cultural perspective.
