Implementation Priority of the ITIL framework based on a Process Sequencing Model

Open Access

The information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) provides a framework that information technology (IT) organizations can use to establish and enhance their operations. One obstacle to implementing ITIL is failure to fully understand the sequence of implementation for the 26 processes present in the library. Two major conclusions resulting from our research into implementation priority of ITIL processes is a process sequencing model and a process priority list that identifies the order in which processes should be implemented in order to have mature IT operations.
