Systematic Hazard Analysis with Specification Mining (SHASM) For Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems

Open Access Deposited

As Autonomous Cyber-Physical Systems become pervasive an ongoing issue is how to characterize their risks in a Probabilistic Risk Analysis (PRA) process given limited domain expertise and large amounts of Tertiary/Secondary engineering data. This research proposes a knowledge management methodology that elicits Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems used as data aggregators for PRA expert elicitation. The outcome of this work is a demonstrated solution to assist the Autonomous Cyber-Physical System community by illustrating the benefits and limitations of the methodology in this research, as well as introducing a new way to systematically elicit an AI expert.
