I Will Go Back Tonight Open Access
The short documentary film, I Will Go Back Tonight investigates the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder on familial relationships of six veterans from the United States Army 5th Infantry Unit, the "bobcats". The project focuses on the lives of five Vietnam veterans who served together in 1968 and one Afghanistan Veteran who came home in 2012. The landscape of war and the military has changed dramatically, but the lasting effects after veterans return remain the same. Their wives and adult children speak candidly about the experience of living with flashbacks, nightmares, and memories that haunt their husbands every day. Despite the deep-rooted trauma left after the legacy of war, there is life after PTSD.
