landSCAPES

The visual representation between a person and land is similar to the phrase "to whom it may concern". Each landSCAPE communicates differently to each person. The landSCAPES exhibit aims to decode the visual language of how traditional and contemporary landSCAPES speak. Line and shape, space and color are the universal artistic elements that art uses to communicate the unique representation of a subject. The exhibit discusses these elements in the order one learns how to create artworks: line + shape, space, and color. The exhibit consists of four sections, three of which discuss and decode each of the elements. A forth section allows the visitor to use what they have learned about the universal artistic elements to make their own interpretations of traditional and contemporary landSCAPES.
