Sculptural ASMR | The HALO SENSORY PORTAL | HSP Spaceship 1

Self-healing with ASMR, maladaptive daydreaming and my ADD/ADHD contributes towards my long overworking mind state which I name my “cycles” and “trancing” while making my artwork. I rely on unorthodox ways to help me escape temporarily from my PTSD due to my past trauma, especially my deep vein thromboses that helped prompt the evolution of my style called NODS which mimic vascular systems. I invite audiences to engage in my worlds that I sculpted. The. Fantasy worlds are not cut off from reality and I encourage myself and others not to lose sight in a false facade of a safe land forever. By encapsulating my fantasy land installations and sculptures within in a spaceship setting called The HALO SENSORY PORTAL | HSP Spaceship 1, visitors can interact with the 3-D worlds that are inside this site-specific installation. The tension of pastel colors with the juxtaposition of darkness, called the fuse concept, cocoons the light. This spans the multitude of my diverse materials, their colors and connotations to my internal experiences about how I handle grief and struggle with these coping mechanisms. These worlds unveiled my subconscious mysteries: how I process my challenges and why I make these artworks.
