Generalized Fibonacci Code and its Application on Error Tolerance

Open Access

In the realm of computer science, the combination of zeros and ones are used as the standard machine language for communication and storage. Machines' ultimate goal is to serve for the human world, so it is nature and necessary to build a map between the human language and the machines', and these two language sets will be called in this paper as the original set and the encoded set. One of the simplest and most widely used map or code is the ASCII code. It is a bijective map between the well-designed concise human language set and each item in the set of human language has a corresponding code of zeros and ones of a static length which is 7 bits. For example, in the ASCII code, the corresponding codes for `a' and `b' are `1100001' and `1100010'. And thanks to the map is injective, the process of encoding and decoding would be unambiguous.
