I'd Rather Be In The Woods

Open Access

I'd Rather Be In The Woods, a multimedia photographic essay examines the lives of a group of individuals living in an intentional community on the riverbank of the Shenandoah River in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. "The Hillians" as they call themselves are a tribe of individuals in their twenties, embodying the eternal youthfulness of Peter Pan. "The Hillians" find a viable way to thrive separate from the standards of mainstream society and its conventions as they transition into adulthood.
