Mysterious Departure
Open Access DepositedMoving beyond the rules of printmaking, enables me to push the boundaries of the medium in order to have fluidity with the outcome. I work improvisationally by seeing printmaking tools and techniques as instruments. Like jazz musicians working between composed structure and spontaneous invention, I move between these two ways of making, letting each inform the other. This process allows me to develop portals that reflect the freedom of my identity and ritual improvisation, paralleling music.
