A Qualitative Study

Urban School Principals’ Experience with Coaching This basic qualitative study was designed to understand the experiences of urban school principals receiving coaching. The study collected data form 16 urban school principals working on K-12 schools from three different states on their experiences with coaching. The findings from this study revealed that trust built through a share understanding of urban schools impacted the effectiveness of coaching, and that principals increased their leadership and academic skills by working alongside a coach.
