FACTORS AFFECTING THE ADOPTION OF WEB-BASED LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BY STUDENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION: THE CASE OF JORDAN
Open AccessThis was a cross-sectional study to explore the factors that may influence the adoption of Web-Based Learning Management System (LMS) by students within the context of higher education in Jordan. The theoretical research model was developed from the original Technology Adoption Model (TAM) developed by Davis (1986), which is based on the beliefs, attitudes, intentions and behaviors adoption framework. The original TAM was extended to include five additional factors associated with the beliefs and intentions constructs. Hence, the research model for this study consisted of ten constructs: (1) perceive usefulness, (2) perceive ease of use, (3) system quality, (4) service quality, (5) information quality, (6) subjective norm, (7) computer self-efficacy, (8) attitude, (9) intention to use and (10) actual use.
