Wooden Teeth: The George Washington University’s Student Art & Literary Magazine

Wooden Teeth is a biannual publication and is open to all members of The George Washington University community. Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, alumni, and staff are encouraged to submit their poetry, fiction, non-fiction, and art.

The George Washington Undergraduate Law Review

The George Washington University Undergraduate Law Review (ULR) is a student-run and published legal journal that examines internationally significant issues concerning law, policy, philosophy, ethics, and politics. The ULR offers undergraduates the unique chance to research, write, and edit a law review article on a legal topic of their choosing.

Council of Librarians

The Council of Librarians was formed in 1967 to provide a codified framework for librarians to participate in the strategic planning process and personnel-related activities for the libraries. The Council of Librarians is composed of librarians from Gelman and Eckles libraries and governed by a Code and By-Laws. The Council meets bimonthly and more frequently as needed.

Central Asian Affairs

Central Asian Affairs is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal. It aims to feature innovative research on contemporary developments in the wider Central Asian region. Its coverage includes Central Asia, Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Xinjiang, Kashmir, neighboring powers (China, Iran, Pakistan, India, Russia, Turkey), and the role of leading international powers and donors in this region. Central Asian Affairs informs scholarly discourse and policy discussions on the region by engaging experts from across the policy and academic arenas, drawing on a diverse array of disciplines including political science, sociology, anthropology, economics, development studies, and security studies.

Supplemental materials for "Networks and Opportunities," American Historical Review (Dec. 2019), by Tyler Anbinder, Cormac Ó Gráda, and Simone A. Wegge

The data, images, and documents in this collection are related to "Networks and Opportunity," an article examining the economic assimilation in New York of the Irish emigrants who fled the Great Famine of the late 1840s and early 1850s. U.S. Military Bases in Okinawa: United States Government Documents (released through FOIA requests)

This collection of U.S. government documents was released through a series of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests pursued by Jon Mitchell, British journalist and author, who has done extensive work exposing human rights issues on Okinawa. The documents originated in the US Department of Defense (Marine Corps, Army and Air Force) and CIA, and reveal the social, cultural and environmental impacts of the US military operations on Okinawa and Okinawans. These documents were generously donated in 2020 and 2023.

The Capitol Economics Journal

The Capitol Economics Journal (CEJ) is published biannually and all publication policies and processes are conducted in accordance with international standards of academic ethics and integrity. The CEJ accepts and publishes original, undergraduate research papers relating to all fields of economics. Consideration for each semester’s edition opens at the beginning of the semester and closes one month prior the end of the semester.

GW Undergraduate Review

Established in 2016, the GW Undergraduate Review (GWUR) is the premier publication of research from undergraduate students at the George Washington University. Our mission is to promote undergraduate research on GW’s campus through events, workshops, and the publication of a peer-reviewed journal. Undergraduate researchers from all academic disciplines are welcome to submit to the journal, which is staffed by editors majoring and minoring across nearly twenty departments at GW.
